Magic Kingdom’s Quick Service Dining
The Magic Kingdom has many different quick service dining choices to choose from. Some of these offer your basic Disney quick service food options (burgers and hot dogs), such as Pecos Bills Cafe or the Friar’s Nook. While others have a larger menu to choose from such as Cosmic Ray’s. One thing that has become more popular in the last couple of years are the many different Hot Dog choices you can get at the Magic Kingdom. Casey’s Corner has added more exotic hot dog choices as well as the Lunching Pad. Overall, there are so many different choices to choose from that as a diabetic I feel I have to be prepared for what I am getting into before I step up and have to order. If you check out allears.net you can look at the most recent menus for all the different quick service restaurants in the Magic Kingdom. Each of the restaurants is listed below with my thoughts on them.
Casey’s Corner – check out my earlier post from November 10, 2011 on Casey’s Corner. The last time I ate here they didn’t have all the new offerings they do now. I am excited to try to new hot dog choices here.
Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe – By far has the most options for the Magic Kingdom. The only thing I don’t like is that I have to stand in separate lines to order different items for myself, wife, and kids if we all want something different.
Columbia Harbor House - I have eaten here a couple of times. I really don’t find anything that exciting. I do like fish and chips but I am sure the amount of carbs in these are pretty outrageous.
Tortuga Tavern - I really enjoy the Tortuga Tavern when it is open. Having the fixin’s bar is pretty nice. You can really load up on the lettuce and other veggies. The taco salad has been one of my favorite choices here.
The Lunching Pad – Another one of the quick service places that doesn’t really offer me a lot. I haven’t eaten here because there isn’t really anything that appeals to me.
Main Street Bakery – The cinnamon rolls are a family favorite of ours. We usually stop here at some point in the morning during our visits to the Magic Kingdom. Of course I have already eaten breakfast back at the resort by this point so this become 2nd breakfast for me. I haven’t been able to locate any information on the carb count of the cinnamon rolls and I would probably be pretty shocked to see what it is.
Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe – I haven’t eaten here yet. But they do serve a taco salad with a fixin’s bar. So I might have to give it a try. The rest of the menu is pretty much burgers and fries.
Pinnochio Village Haus -I have never eaten here because of the carb amounts. I look at the menu and know I am pretty limited in what I would want to eat. They do have a salad with chicken.
Tomorrow Land Terrace Restaurant – We looked at eating here once but didn’t try it. The lobster roll or shrimp salad sounds interesting to me.
